For Ali

Here you go, you little shiz. The color is crap, the quality is crap but you asked for it. Now shut-up or die. Just kidding....but come over to my house if you want to see them for reals. They look about 2 million times better.

"say what?"

I love this idea from Thyrn. Portions of their love story from his and her view.  If the guests wanted the whole story they had to visit each table.  It seemed to be quite amusing.

The coolest thing today

Need a little pick me up? Click on the link to the left that reads "Well Spun Weddings". It's this crazy beautiful company that makes even crazier more beautiful wedding videos. If you have slow internet, you might need to open the site, turn of the sound on your computer, and walk away while it loads. Check out the first one for sure. They're all really nice, though. Kinda makes you want to do it all over again...

Contrasts are nice

This is a very elegant contrast. Click on the picture to learn how!
I love silky white dresses, sleek black tuxes, and wheat fields.
And another. Beautiful flowers in antique tea tins.

Japanese flair without the bamboo

Check this out:
It's a nice way to lighten up a canopy tent the INEXPENSIVE way. Sure, there are plenty of other, more elaborate ways that we will delve into in the future. This is more of a daylight luncheon look. It goes without saying that unless you choose to hold your reception in the evening, you will have to get creative to spruce up your outdoor venue. I just a happen to know that these paper lanterns are available at Pier 1 for less than $5.00 a piece. I know because I just got one for my living room. Upgrade to the large size for just a few more dollars. You could color tool these any way you like. I smell a DYI project!

Filigree Fun

I can't get enough of brocade inspired design. It's so hot right now; there is no end to it's adaptability. It can add an element of elegance to a room: or a modern flare to an invitation:
It can spice up your basic dinnerware:
or create the perfect wedding cake:
Not just black and white; try it out in a deep salmon or a mint green. Use it as an accent or a focus. Make it your own. Check this out if you're a fellow fan: http://www.brocadedesign.co.uk/?cid=12.

DYI: Hanging Sheers

Let's get this party started right with the coolest thing I've seen today. This is just 4-5 inch organza ribbon, purchase on bulk bolts and hung from a tension rod. I think the effect is fab! I can totally see this behind a dessert table, a backdrop for a picture display, cover up unpleasant walls at a venue, or creating a crazy-cool effect to your basic entry-way. OK, fine, maybe even as a *gulp, gulp* backdrop for a receiving line. This could work with any color scheme to add a modern flair to the big day! Easy, easy.
